A THRILL RIDE OF AN EVENT TO SAVE NYC'S ICONIC AMUSEMENT PARK
On Saturday, March 8, 2008 the Save Coney Island organization will join forces with Miss Cyclone, Angie Pontani, Dianna Carlin of Lola Staar and Jen Gapay of Thirsty Girl Productions to stage a tilta-whirling event to promote awareness about New York City's exciting new plan for the revitalization of Coney Island!

Last Night @ Rockwood Music Hall
Last night we played at Rockwood Music Hall on Allen St. - LES.
Brad, Roorda, DG and special guest Arne Wednt on accordion.
Yeah – that was a new thing. DG asked Arne to play because we didn't know if the band would be too loud for this intimate location (we might have been too loud) and wanted to maybe strip it down (2 basses, cocktail drum and accordion). Arne also played piano on "Smile" – a song that is one of the hidden tracks on our CD "Bonita - O!". It is very sweet and mellow.
When I was on stage, I wanted to take my boots off. Besides that they were super high, it was very HOT in the club!
I managed to keep them on and forgot all about the heat.
When we were asked to play Rockwood, I envisioned creating a cabaret vibe, like Marlene Dietrich in "Blue Angel" – It's all about the outfit with me, and of course – a good show.
Something else about the night was that a myspace friend showed up and he totaled his car on the way to the show. He said that he should have gone to the hospital, but instead came to see us. NOW THAT'S A FAN!!! I hope he's OK!
Also – thanks to Kelly for video taping the show. Can't wait to see.
